Membership

Established in 1973 in Bury St. Edmunds we are a friendly club with a good reputation and 150 members competing at all levels. Membership of the club includes;

  • Exclusive use of the West Suffolk Athletics Arena, Bury St Edmunds on Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 6:30 and 8:30 year round.
  • Expert coaching in a squad environment.
  • Competition for the club in UKA affiliated leagues during summer and winter seasons
  • Transport to away meetings.
  • A Club vest.

Who Can Join?

Anyone who is in school year 6 and above can become a member. There are no qualifying standards, exams or tests. Our only condition is that having joined, you train regularly and compete for the Club. Our aim is to help people enjoy track and field athletics, cross country and road racing through healthy competition.

How to Join

You will need to contact our club secretary, Michelle, at info.westsuffolkac@gmail.com to organise a trial. The first trial session is free and a trial period of 4 weeks inclusive of the first session is then charged at £3 per session. After this, athletes must decide if they wish to continue training or not. Further information on membership fees are available from the club hut on training nights.
